Stand against bullying

Featured Mar 04, 2020

The poem composed by Rtr. Narmadha Rajakanthan for ‘Friend Me, Don’t Bully Me’, a social media campaign organized by Rotaract Club of University of Colombo, Faculty of Arts, to create awareness on the increasing epidemic of bullying and the detrimental effects on its victims.

You stand there alone
No one to stand up for you
No friends do you have
They’ve made you taboo

They’re the strong ones the liked one
By fear do they rule
To hurt you, to break you
They think it is cool

Are you sad as they say
Or are they just bad
Surprise! Its neither
The truth is quite sad

They want now to rule
For once, they too felt weak
In this you are a tool
To feel strong do they seek
